Well I don't really remember Webster at LSU, but I'm a big time NY Giants fan and I have never been overly impressed by Webster. I'm not saying Milliner is better right now, but he has more potential than Webster did.

Who does this guy think he is? Patrick Peterson?

Webster was a better pure athlete and made more plays on the ball in college (16 interceptions in his career at LSU). He is not a pure cover corner in the NFL, but he has been the MOST SUCCESSFUL corner that Saban has ever produced, closely followed by Kareem Jackson.
Milliner is a smart player who will need to learn better footwork against NFL receivers. He doesn't backpedal well and he faceguards. Same as all Saban's DBs. Sure he has a lot of potential but you could say that about a lot of players. In this case, Milliner's potential is limited by him being injury prone.
I see why he fell out of the top 5. He simply isn't top 5 value. The chances of him turning into the next Revis are slim.

Oh I 100% agree he won't be Revis an should not have gone top 5.
I just think he can be more successful than Webster and therefore Saban's most successful corner to date.
How I injury prone is he really though. I could be mistaken here but I remember hearing that those injury concerns were being ignored by a lot of teams. I guess his injury report looks worse than it actually is. Maybe I misheard that though. I can't really recall him as being injury prone at UA.

When was this burn you speak of?

quote:Exactly! Like agent has any pull with the GM's and what picks they choose in the draft.
I think the people criticizing these moves are doing so because it's laughable to think an agent has such an influence over the process. Like somehow he can talk one of these NFL GMs into taking a guy they don't want to take.
quote:I'll not defend his decision "IF" this is in fact the reason he fired his agent. It's his buisness who he employ's to work for him. Sounds ridiculous to fire an agent just because you weren't a top 5 pick.
But of course being a bama guy you lemmings would probably defend him under any circumstance.

This is a dumb argument. Who burned him? Who cares if coach Saban teaches them stuff that doesn't translate to the NFL. That's not his job, his job is to win and he is damn good at his job. Maybe LSU should try it and win something since 2007?
