Of course, I could never see an agent making grandiose and exaggerated claims either. Feed them what the want to hear, assuage their egos, get paid and deal with it later.

I would bet this has a lot to do with why so many agents get fired. They pump their clients up with wild expectations to secure their signature and then hope they can deliver on the promises. Its a snake oil business and losing a client or two here and there is going to happen.

Hasn't Millner had a bunch of injuries/surgeries already? Might have something to do with it.

I don't know why people make a big deal about this stuff. It's business. Some people are finicky and want results. It's going to be even more pronounced with 22 year old males with big egos. Move on.

At the end of the day the agent works for Milliner and gets some good coin. For whatever reason if I didn't like the guy I'd put his arse to the curb also.

If you want to fire someone, you make up a reason. Nobody knows the real reason and nobody cares.

If the kid had gone to a school that was not loaded like Bama, he would not have wasted so much time on the bench. In another program he would have been the MAN!

The agent has little to do with draft position

i would think an agent could have a pretty huge impact on where his client gets drafted. The agent sets the agenda for workouts, gets them the training they need, schools them for interviews... all the things that can greatly affect draftability.

Nick Fairley hired a moron... he could've been top 5 two years ago... cost himself a ton of money b/c he was getting some pitiful advice.

That's the great part of living in the USA. It is called capitalism, and I hope this young player makes big piles of money for his family.

Milliner is overrated. He is not the shut down corner the Jets are expecting.

So what's the yearly salary of an NFL scout? I've always been curious.

If you don't think a good agent makes a difference you are even dumber than i thought you were. And believe me I already thought you were pretty dumb.

1) Saban corners typically don't do well in the NFL for a few years because they have to unlearn all the BS Saban teaches them (e.g., face guarding).

2) Milliner is not as good as Kirkpatrick was, he is not as good as Corey Webster was, etc. Just my opinion.

3) Milliner is injury prone.

None of Saban's corners had much success until year 2 or 3 - like Corey Webster and Kareem Jackson, perfect examples. Kareem Jackson spent his first year getting burned, got benched, and then finally got with the program at the end of his second year. Now he's solid. Not first round money solid. But solid.

No be fair. Milliner is probably the best cover guy Saban has coached

In all of the NFL Draft, how many CB's were Top 5 picks?

I could understand if he fired him though b/c his former agent was telling him he'd be a Top 5 pick and he didn't deliver.

Well he sure gets burned a lot for being the best cover guy Saban ever coached.

Corey Webster was the best cover guy Saban ever coached, IMO.
