Wuerffel was incredibly accurate passer and Spurrier’s Gator offense was way ahead of the SEC at the time.
I know Wuerffel was on the ‘93 team but I thought Terry Dean was the starter that year.

As a player, DW was special in 2 ways:
He was one of the few QBs who could survive (and thrive) in the Spurrier meatgrinder of criticism.
He threw the best deep fade on a corner route in college football history. If the WR got a clean release and the OL gave him 1.5 seconds it was an automatic 6 from 30 yards in.
As a man, DW walked the ultimate walk, dedicating his entire life and career to supporting those less fortunate than himself.
