I think he is being a bitch, but legally I don't blame him a bit for not saying the name, even if he is telling the truth. Truth is an absolute defense but he can't defend himself without outing the source. Another thing his legal argument tells me is that the alleged bagman is not a widely known public figure. If he was, a slander suit would be pointless given the protections afforded to media with regards to public figures.
