LOL I can tell mr mafia guy wants this to be true so bad.
Your right I would like to see it come to an end. If nothing ever comes out of it, your going to have 10 years down the road Bama fans saying he was paid and Auburn fans saying he wasn't. As a honest Bama fan of course you want it to be true, but everyone wants to know the truth also

I don't hate finebaum. I never had respect for him no matter who he is trashing. He is a non factor in my opinion. Which is why I question DS opening up on his show.

Biggest problem I have with this is so many reporters have been on the trail and came up empty handed. Then some oddsmaker scoops this story and releases it on the Finebaum show?
What's going on in here? Only read first and last pages.
I have seen Sheridan question plenty of times since his comments. Sheridan is not some hack, that made a name for himself on the net. He is very legit, with real connections, that has been around for decades. I believe a few year back he was no.50 or so in a listing for most powerful guys in sports. Think it was in SI,News, or Forbes, can't remember for sure. I am surprised at how he is releasing this info though.

Lets just play the what if game - if he releases a name what are you going to think.
My opinion is that no way he releases a name, and if he does and is not correct does this person not have a lawsuit against him?

If he states a name you can take it to the bank. I've got him down as a 90-1 underdog to actually throw out a name though (swidt?)

The same way I have felt about every other story. Show proof or GTFO. When the NCAA says it happened and unloads on Auburn I will believe.

That is all well and good and could be true, but he keeps wording it so he has an exit from what he says. Which is why I agree with mafia in that DS will not release a name.

I have not followed what he has and has not commented on. I have never listened to the Firebaum show, so have only seen the comments posted on here.
This is why I said I am surprised about the way he is leaking this, he very much a no nonsense kind of guy. I would expect him to just come straight from the beginning with all info.

Whenever somebody tries to string something along like this....i have very little faith they actually have anything of substance

Re-read that twitter post, "NCAA feels allegedly"
It screams hack. He will not release a name, nothing will come of this, but we are supposed to take his word that the bagman exists. I call BS.

This is what I have been basically saying in this thread. It is peculiar on several levels.

I think it's peculiar too. On the one hand, there is something to be said about reporters sitting on information until they know it's solid. No one wants a Joe Schad debacle. Since it's apparently coming from the NCAA, the only way he can give a name, it would seem, is if they have information and are moving forward and have given him the scoop. Otherwise, it'll blow up in his face.
Just seems like a lot to risk as far as credibility goes, for it to be another wild goose chase for attention and ratings. At the same time, he's not doing it like a normal person does with credible information.
I suppose we'll just have to wait and see how it pans out.

As I already stated, I have not followed the story. I wouldn't know how to receive or send a twitter. What he does with his info going forward is anyone's guess.
I merely stating what I do know, and that is Sheridan's credentials. Questioning his integrity and his connections are misguided.

Oh Danny boy, you are pathetic.

I don't think anyone is questioning the guy's connections.
Integrity on the other hand... that is up for debate.

I think it's sort of stupid to argue someone's integrity before you know what the information is, if it's an argument as to whether or not he would be believable.
I mean, he may not have any integrity, but it won't change the fact that the NCAA did or didn't tell him something. And no one will know that until they hear what he has to say.

The big media sites make it clear when talking about the bagman that PF and DS are the ones claiming it. That is so they don't get caught up in the story they can't completely trust. If DS's story had legs then he would be breaking the story in a bigger, more credible place than the PF show. And who better than USA Today, the company he works for and who trust his sources. They would be all over a story that big. So why are they not? Because USA Today didn't want any of it either. PF is the only place he can ramble on with no proof.

Well you should have told this to Joe Schad.

I listened to Sheridan when he was on PF last time, and the guy sounds like a delusional coke head seeking attention without anything credible to say; just a bunch of yapping in circles like a politician who answers questions by not answering the actual question at all.
I'm a guy who would LOVE to see Auburn get hit with sanctions for any sort of cheating they may have done, but I'm not a fool.
