Just to highlight Carlson's career:

- 5th all-time scorer in NCAA history (471 with one more game)

- #1 scorer in SEC history (by 59 points w/1 more game left)

- 2nd most field goals made in a career (NCAA history)

- Made 195 straight XPs, never missed (Another SEC record)

- 12/20 for kicks over 50 yards

It sucks when a kid as great as he's been over 4 years doesn't get a national award. He'll be at the top of SEC record books for a good while, and firmly in the NCAA's.

Regardless, here's to you Carlson for a great college career. You killed the record books, and got a graduate degree out of it.

I loved his final fg kick. It's on right now.

Amazing player. Bama too stupid to take him. Switch field goal kickers and there is no kick 6.

I tip my hat. Biggest compliment is I will be glad he’s gone.

I will say, his brother Anders Carlson is our next kicker. He went 49/49 XP in high school. Should be pretty good.

It's ridiculous that he didn't get it this year with the career he's had.

His brother may be just as good but he can’t be any better.

I think it’s a crime that he and JK Scott didn’t win more national awards.

Agreed. Scott has been money, especially placing it inside the 10.

Travesty. No doubt he was the best kicker in the nation.

Might as well stop handing out the award. If Legatron doesn’t win that award at least once, there’s no sense giving it out.

I feel similarly about JK Scott. Both JK’s and Carlson’s career should count for something. Their entire body of work is amazing.

Agreed. There's not much else they could have done. Their stats speak for themselves. I just don't understand this stuff sometimes.

It sucks, but the Utah dude had better stats.

Scott was robbed of the Guy award his freshman year. Had by far the best stats by a noticeable margin but didn't win because they didn't want to give it a freshman.

All the other years he's been up for it, someone else had much better stats and won it instead of him rightfully.

These awards often have a lot of politics that come with them.

And Carlson had better stats than Zane last year. That's when I thought it was a career achievement award. But nope, guess not. They gave it to the junior.

Not %. Zane also set an FBS record with 14 FGs from at least 40 yards and went 7/9 from 50 or more.
