Yeah, people in Oregon always hear about the excellence that is Mississippi State. Seriously, no one outside of the SEC really has any clue what MSU is. Ole Miss has had alot of press over the years (good and bad), and everyone is pretty aware its a nickname. No one ever says "University of Mississippi", so whenever they very occasionally hear the words Mississippi State, its often a presumption that it is Ole Miss' non-nickname. Lets go ask the people of Nevada about what State's mascot, colors, or traditions are, and I bet most won't have a clue, many of them attributing our history to yall's.
