Regarding "early signing"....

What happens if you let kids sign early, then you end up with a situation like UGA had when juniors you assummed were going to the NFL decide to come back?

You'd have to make those signings contingent on expected scholly space 8 months in advance, which makes for a complete clusterfrick.

Or you just say, as the NCAA, you can sign 25 a year. No cap space.

Then, I think an early signing period could be discussed. But there's still issues with it.

Every school has 100 offers out there, what if 60 of them all want to sign with you on the early signing day?

What would Saban do when the early signing day comes, and he is overwhelmed with signers?

The June signing period is dumb. What happens if a scho.fires the head coach after 4 games in the season and they hire someone you don't want as your head coach?

Cutting down Camp days seems dumb as well. Less time to evaluate players and essential exposure for under radar prospects.

programs that don't have the resources want that, they serve hot dogs while the other big programs are serving filets.

The current system isn't broken maybe add the early December signing and very done with it, no need for further restrictions

The current system is terrible. You may not like his fixes but to say it is not broken is stupid

The reason I think the June signing period is dumb is what happens if the kid gets injured??? Can that scholarship offer be turned into a gray shirt?? Also what if the kid has a terrible season? Because honestly if I signed early to play for a major d-1 I'm not going to play my balls off senior year and risk injury.

So basically he wants to work less...... or another way to say it, he's tired of being outworked.

What part of recruiting is broken?

Seems like having NSD after the season, after players declare for the draft is a good thing for all parties involved. Do I need to explain why?

Seems like reducing camps would hurt players chances of getting noticed. Need an explanation?

What is broke?

Just a Scientologist that doesn't like Merry Flipmas.

After having your recruits flip at the last minute, I can see why he likes this idea
