This would be the 3rd Oline team thats bad. At some point maybe its the QB. I want Jackson to do well he had so much raw talent. But his mental game is ruined.

Part of why his OLines struggle is because he scrambles too often. Think about oline and when a play is called they have assignments of where to push defender ti maximize play. They are facing forward and engaged with defender. They can’t see what their QB is doing and when JA scrambles it favors D over O.

Jackson leaves good pockets too often. He is also streaky and as shown last night in 2nd qtr and 1st series of 3rd, he has talent when confident. Once he loses confidence he panics and can’t read defenses to throw the ball away. Probably because he loves to run his clock works different and this he takes sacks. I think he’ll do fine for UNLV but last night shows why he can’t get over the hump.

He looked good against Maine, Ball State and South Alabama also.

Mullen could be the highest paid OC for life and not be as stressed (see Muschamp), but he is too arrogant to take a step back.
