A loss to a D1AA team is a pretty damn big deal, and you can bet the State coaches won't let those recruits forget about it. A loss in the egg bowl and State getting to a bowl wouldn't make things any easier.

I agree. I never said it wouldn't be a problem. I just said that it wouldn't be nearly as big of a deal as you think if we take care of business from here on out. Several of the WR recruits were very pleased and commented about how our passing game looked.

And he hung out with his future QB, Tyler Russell and Chad Bumphis after the game.

Tobias was having a hell of a time after the game...I can assure you of that. He even told us he was coming to State, of course we are just college students and it meant nothing for him to tell us, but he says he's coming.

Honestly we dont know what will come of Dan Mullen and his future at MSU. I personally think after meeting Coach Mullen several times and having real conversations with him that he is committed to making State a good viable program. If you listen to him talk about the direction of the program he always talks about bringing it to the next level. Now granted he could be talking out of his arse for the sake of getting people excited about the team and such. But if you go around Starkville I honestly do not think there is a store, fraternity, soriorty, student group, or just talking to people when you see him around town that he does not try and sell his vision of this program to them. I honestly think coach Mullen is committed to staying here at state. Not to mention I heard the athletic office recieved a VERY large amount of money to ensure he stays here at State. Only time will tell. But for now coach Mullen is here in Starkville re-invigorating a program and community unlike anything that has ever been through Starkville

Every coach is committed to selling their program and making it sound like they're gonna do it.

Tuberville was commited to Ole Miss, Saban to LSU and the Dolphins, Petrino to Louisville and the Falcons, etc.

And they're still committed to those teams and leadin...wait. Nevermind

Cam Newton had a cowbell and promised Mcphee he was coming to State. How did Cam look in States first game?
