All in good fun. It’s late and I can’t sleep. Just passing time being a flippant sumbitch.

I’m outside of Nashville. Job brought me here about twelve years ago. I grew up outside the NC mountain area and went to grad school at Colorado.

I’m deep in the NC mountains myself. Found myself here about 9 years ago and never left.

It didn't look any dirtier than Devin White's targeting hit last year

It’s beautiful there. I’ll be there my birthday weekend knocking off about six peaks that are on my list. Cannot wait. I love it there.

If you have the means, it’s in the top five places to live for sure. So much to do related to the outdoors and endless long range mountain views where I am. I just spent a few days at LeConte Lodge. That one of your peaks or you going further north?

I’m doing Thunderhead/Rocky Top/Mount Squires on day one. I’ll head east on the Blue Ridge Parkway for Mount Pisgah, Waterrock Knob, Yellow Face, Browning, and Lyn Lowry that Sunday.

I was lucky enough to do LeConte a few years ago. Big fan. If you haven’t done Cammerer that’s another nice one. Only about twelve miles round trip.

Staying at the lodge is such a surreal experience. I’ve done most of the parkway, but I’ve not done as much in the GSMNP. Which is strange because it’s practically my backyard. Try and hit Sam’s Knob in the parkway if you can. One of my favorites.

Several LSU threads about this, I’ve already forgotten that guy. LSU truly has assumed little bro status to A&M.

I almost got myself killed near Robbinsville NC. Fn ice on the roads in the mountains is no joke. On the other had The Dragons Tail in the summer is super fun!

It can get pretty dicey in the winter months. I traded in my Sierra for a Land Cruiser that’s four wheel drive all the time. Seems to help. I’m not too far from Robbinsville. Hope y’all stopped at the Tapoco Lodge!

I, unfortunately, was driving a mustang. The only reason I'm alive today is a thin strip of grass on the side of the road.
I enjoy visiting up there, no gnats, in the summer there is no humidity. In the winter the mountains are picturesque, the feel of the chill in the air, using a wood burning fireplace to keep warm, and the trout fishing. Love it.

Make the move. We need more southerners and less Yankees. Way too many “half backs” complaining about how things are here.

My shop is heated with a wood stove

This place has been very, very good to me and I’m only 35.
