Coaches shouldn't take fan calls. It stupid because there is always some dickhead troll out there wanting to stir up some shite.

no matter how retarded your fans are i don't think it's ever a good idea to yell at one on a radio show lol. he could have said pretty much the same stuff with a much different tone.

That’s what fans should expect from a top level salary head coach. That’s why I said he overreacted for the salary he’s being paid.

I LOATHE Clemsux with a passion but given what he has done up there( even though the coordinators had a lot to do with it as did 2 generational QBs back to back) I can understand his frustration with a caller like that(again assuming this wasn't staged). Still he could have handled it in a more professional manner. I am enjoying the national bad press and ridicule he and the Sux are getting, but given what I hear from Clemsux fans, they have short memories and don't realize he has taken them farther than they likely will ever be again. You don't have to like the guy or school to understand how frustrating some fan interaction can be.

The really dumbass thing about dabo’s refusal to use the NIL/transfer portal and process non-performers is they have a big $$$ generator called IPTAY, Clemson could buy a team full of 5 stars 2-deep with the money their fans generate every year.
When you make 11 million a year for coaching a freaking game you do not have the right to go off on people who question your shitty decisions imo. I hope Tyler from Spartanburg haunts his thoughts and dreams from now on.

It is not frustration it is a sense of entitlement on Dabo's part. He is making $11.5 million a year and can walk away anytime he wants and unless he has been a moron of epic proportions never face a moment of frustration again in life. His reaction is the same as that of the kids who came by the house last night and simply held out their bag or bucket without saying a word and not saying thanks afterwards...they were entitled to the candy, Dabo is entitled to the $11.5 million and neither should be taken to task by anyone.
I wouldn't do the job for more than a few years no matter how much money they paid me. I would do the Ed O thing though LOL. If he is "frustrated" that is also on him, not fans. He chooses to remain in the position...if it is frustrating him he should leave.

For $11.5 million a year an employee should handle irate customers professionally and without personal insult or getting their feelings hurt.

Good points. And yes he should be able to handle it better but there is now also a lot of entitlement on the part of their fan base too. They better get ready for more disappointment as it is much harder to stay on top than to reach the top.

When you’re at the big time level making eight figures, what you did yesterday is irrelevant. It’s all about today and tomorrow. What you did yesterday won’t get get you shite if the PTB don’t believe you can continue it in the future.
There are legitimate reasons to doubt that Dabo (going forward) is worth being in the same salary tier as Saban and Smart and is capable of getting Clemson back to the level that earned him that contract.
As for the rant, never put yourself on a fan’s level. It’s just not a good look.
