Because the sideline is different than the end zone. Did we not just establish that?

I said this when it happened. As a fan it has happened to every team ever at some point. Why is all of a sudden such a big deal?

I'm not angry at all. Sorry you feel that way. I just don't understand how people think the rule is dumb.

Sideline = Offense
Endzone = Defense

And it doesn't matter if it's backwards or forwards.

It's pretty straight forward.

That said aTm got the ball back and scored and failed to convert two point conversion. Did not like the call on the goal line. I hate roll outs on a short field. It’s too easy for the defense to defend when you cut the field in half and are playing from the two or three yard line.

Exactly, how can coaches not see this?

That play was FUGLY!

A&M got the ball back and scored. It didn't end up being that huge a deal.

Except that, if A&M would have scored then. And then stopped Clemson’s next possession, which they did. Their last score, FG or TD would have won the game.
