So kelly could save his redshirt and transfer out.

So a coach set the precedent 6 years ago when it benefitted dabo.

Why is this guy from unlv getting hosed by everyone..he's actually got legal tender to play for.

Kelly was TB12 compared to DJU.

He lost 1 game as a starter and could run really well.

He has stolen the most nil money yet if you factor in results..

Never seen such an overhyped qb..He is painful to watch..Id feel embarrassed for him if he wasn't a nmmillionaire..

Because he quit as a STARTER.

As long as that was the case. I agree with you. Seems easy to clarify but I haven’t seen it confirmed

How did that benefit Dabo if Kelly was just gonna transfer out? It benefitted Kelly, and I’m sure he was on board. It may have benefited Dabo in the court of public opinion by helping Kelly, but it would have hurt Clemson if Trevor went down. (I can’t remember if Kelly continued practicing and was willing to burn his redshirt if TLaw had gotten hurt).

The timing here is what grosses people out. The kid should have either sit out till he got paid or wait and deal with this at the end of the season. It’s a terribly bad look to start the year and then stop 3 or 4 games in because of a money dispute. The kid may have every gripe in the world but it makes him look terrible to quit on the team mid stream over something that should have been handled before he ever took a snap this season.

Blake Barnett was the first I knew of that did it.

Because you sign to play for a team.

And you sign a NIL deal with a third party. They may or not be affiliated with the school.

You can not sign a NIL with a school. Schools are not paying players to play directly. They can’t under the rules.

Skula quit his team because of a NIL deal he said his school didn’t pay that his school couldn’t pay under the rules.

Ok so it’s the NIL collective that couldn’t pay.
Yeah it’s not a great look without some regulation. Wild West isn’t sustainable

The collective never agreed to pay him either apparently.

If there was a contract we would know.

TLaw got concussed in game 5 and Chase Brice had to lead a comeback win against Syracuse. Kelly took his ball and went home earlier that week. Went to Mizzou that next spring semester and did a decent job for them if I recall correctly. I know he beat USCe.
