Because we tried to tell everyone, the SEC tournament means absolutely nothing for any team that has already locked up their national seed. It's for bubble teams.

Correct. If you're clearly a top 8 national seed, then your body of work is in the books before the SEC tournament. Tournament is helpful for those on the cusp of something. Like Georgia's hope to be a national top eight seed. Or Mississippi State hoping to host. Or Florida just hoping to get in the tournament.
