TCU has 7 lefties so Maineri played matchups and gambled saving Lane for Vanerbilt.
It was honestly a brilliant call until Poche forgot how to throw it first
That shite never works.

You throw a lefty vs 7 lefties.
Lange has been the Saturday guy all year, why juggle?
In some peoples mind you throw your best guy 2 in a Regional as it's must win or gets you to a championship game. I agree with this strategy actually.
But it's a combo of first two I listed.

He had a perfect game through three, mowing batters down...it felt like when Zoolander forgot how to turn left when he kept trying to get it to first

Its ridiculous how consistent his motion is. You can tell the batters have literally no clue what is coming.
Props to him, I bet he's worked his butt off doing that. Especially throwing a knuckle curve. A lot of times the batter can pick up the finger.

Not the way he throws it so over the top. He hides it well.

I think Maineri deserves a little bit of criticism for not having the guys loose and mentally there Sunday, but starting Poche was far from a bad call

LSU needed a cg I think it set their pitching back up for a run through losers bracket
Problem is you'll lose Lange or Poche for champ series.

If we get to the champ series, each guy will have had 1 week rest. Unless CPM throws poche sooner.

Good win, Tigers. I would say that I hope to see y'all on Thursday, but you can understand why I really don't.

How the heck? You got to win 3 games to get there. You have to throw one to get there, so I don't see how they're coming back on short rest.
