maybe they're friends and wanted to support him either way. please link quotes from those recruits where they say anything close to the bull shite Au propaganda being used to justify his trashing. ive read all those reasons but none have any evidence of being true. all started as speculation and grew into a truth. sad and pathetic how fans act these days.

By telling people around here that he was coming to Auburn. Telling current signees he was coming to Auburn and having them show up at his signing. The granddaddy birthday debacle. The reaction by the Auburn coaching staff was also pretty telling.
Honest question, how would this same exact scenario go over in Tuscaloosa if the rolls were reversed?
Obviously it saved him weeks or months said AUpdykes harassing him and his family.
No. We are have character.

How many days into this melt are the Barners? 12?

Auburn is a college town there is the actual university campus and the city but they are distinctly intertwined and aside from the those that wish for an outside experience most people have a life long connection to the college and city. That's why no one would have faulted Rashaan for choosing UCLA since there is so little separation between the city and school but going to Bama? From a football standpoint it makes sense but from a fandom point of view, nah. Also, Tuscaloosa the city
Ultimately, I acknowledge that we probably did not recruit him for the right position and that's something we'll have to live with. At this point we all just need to move on an learn from our mistakes. Rashaan will have to live with not being idolized in his hometown and Auburn will have to hope he doesn't eat our lunch on the field for the next 3-4 years

Gumps are so desperate to feel better about their own fanbase.
Anyway, don't care and have to admit Evans whining is sorta amusing.

When he gets to T-Town, the creepy old fricks will be the ones buying him hibachi steak, giving him suits, and fishing trips.

It reflects Bama fans wanting to be viewed in a more positive light as a whole by trying to be critical of au fans to me.
That won't ever happen though. Social media, the internet, etc has hurt the image of Bama fans and that will just continue in the future.
Anyway, moving on from this. I am amused by the kids misguided since of self importance and thin skin but that is about it.
