Are students legally allowed to have guns on their dorms?

I'm not speaking to "burden of proof."
I'm speaking to the Alabama fans who are trying to speak in absolutes as to what Miller knew when they have absolutely no idea what he knew.

As all opposing fan bases hope, I don't think it will have any effect on the a$$whippings that are gonna happen during the rest of the regular season or SEC tournament. Now maybe during the NCAA tourny it would be felt but it's too late to stop Bama from winning the SEC.

The DA didn't know his intent either.

Again, proving intent is pretty much critical to what the DA has to do.

These communications depts / strategists get mocked sometimes as being irrelevant.... But when you have this situation and you have a coach (boss/leader) who is out of his/her element ( ie coaching) but feels the need "to lead" so they say something... These PR snafus get created.

The DA is an elected official in Tuscaloosa County. If this was an ordinary black man he would absolutely have been indicted by now.

Exactly, which is why charges weren't filed.

Since his testimony to police matched the video evidence and his phone text were examined.. its pretty safe to conclude that the Tuscaloosa PD and DA have determined what he knew.. and they didn't charge him

Maybe he doesn’t. Most Freshman are required to live in dorms and firearms are prohibited..

You don't seem to understand the difference in what someone actually knew and what there was evidence of them knowing.

Well in America.. the burden of proof is on the state. Unless of course you can read minds

And I'm speaking of the basic fact that in order to arrest him for a crime, the DA has to be able to make a case for court.
I'm not addressing the idea of whether or not he should be with the team.
I'm addressing the fans of other teams who seem to think that he should be in jail because the second amendment ceases to be in force at 1:00 AM, or that a prosecutor can know a person's intent without any evidence.

Exactly, which is why he wasn't charged.
But people have also been jailed for much less.
And it's odd that folks like you keep insisting that he didn't know anything when no one really knows what he knew or suspected.

Why?
The name of this topic is literally:

Criminal charges aside, does he face any actions from school?

The DA apparently doesn't think he knew anything or they would have charged him. They plainly said "theres nothing to charge him with".
Now if you want to run down the rabbit hole that its a conspiracy because he's a good player.. have at it!

Sure they have.. thats how innocent people end up on death row. So are you condoning bad behavior from the DA to prosecute minus substantial evidence?

It's OK. You're just not familiar with big-time college athletic programs with large numbers of fans.
