season in NFL history....

QBs who have thrown for 40 or more tds in a season:
Peyton Manning (2)*
Tom Brady (3) *
Pat Mahomes (2) *
Aaron Rodgers (3) *
Dan Marino (2)*
Drew Brees (2) *
Matthew Stafford (2)
Kurt Warner*
Andrew Luck (retired early)
Russell Wilson

* HOFers or will be once eligible. Wilson probably will be as well, but it's not a given.

Stafford is the only one not selected to the Pro Bowl when he's thrown for forty or more TDs. Has happened twice. The first season he also threw for more than 5000 yards. He is one of only 8 qbs to ever do that.

The second season he won a Super Bowl.

Crazy.

So then do we also claim you were gifted the West in 2022?

He played on shite teams most of his career (right or wrong).

Dude could always sling it with the best and deserves to be in the HOF.

Well that certainly can't explain his exclusion in the year he won the Super Bowl.

The other year he made the playoffs. Those teams weren't crappy teams.

Stafford and Calvin were the reason why the Detroit team wasn't crappy.

Pro Bowls are a seasonal thing. You are not selected for the Pro Bowl in 2017 for what you did 2012-2016.

Both years he threw for over 40 tds his teams were in the playoffs and were winning football teams. One of them won the SB.

It ain't. LSU fan brought up officiating in a post about a player and his being overlooked.

Stafford is a really good dude and one of the most charitable players in the league and has made a lot of money and won a Super Bowl but I dont think that he belongs on any sort of greatest list. Too many really bad interceptions and boneheaded decisions.

He belongs on this list because he did the things that the others did on this list.

I simply talked about that he wasn't selected to a Pro Bowl when he did these things.

Baker Mayfield was just selected to a PB. Chris Miller (do you even know that name?) was selected to a Pro Bowl.
