That's fine when there is a set, regular rotation. It's not when we get into these bridge schedules and suddenly certain teams start getting much easier schedules than others and scheduled rotation games are moved around with little rhyme or reason but by and large left alone for everyone else.

Technically, we LSU fans have little to complain about when it comes to our schedule. Had the schedules been the same as before we still would have faced USCe last year and both USCe and UGA this year (in addition to UF, of course).

What everyone can complain about is the fact that Bama and UGA got to skip a regular season matchup with each other. Is it a coincidence they managed to be in the SECCG this year?

Actually UK was scheduled to rotate on Bama's schedule this year. Just as UGa was scheduled to rotate on LSU schedule. Uga got delayed last year when the Sec office gave the new team a premiere home game vs Bama.

The bridge schedules are not entirely exclusive fro m previous rotations.

Prior to the season last year LSU thought UF was an easy W and thought there was no way Bama would win in Baton Rouge at Night.

It's always about scheduling with these dick holes - especially Cowherd who makes his living trolling with bullshite. He's been well-known for it.

Because picking hot button issues means ratings and money for these folks. This thread has already gone 14 pages and Cowherd is a pimp for the B12 and Southern Cal. If the SECr was smart they would just ignore him like I do.

Speaking of Mizzou, last year they had to play 5 tough teams.

Georgia, South Carolina, Alabama, Florida, and A&M.

You Ruffians should be bitching like frick right now.

I only sifted through a couple of pages, but has anyone mentioned that in the only year since 2008 that Bama didn't win at least 12 games, or win a national championship was the year that SIX (6) different teams had BYE weeks prior to playing us?

SEC office owes us.

Don't throw stones in a glass house.

And don't call us "whiny people" when your fan base and HC have whined every time something doesn't go his/yalls way

Maybe though, in that hypothetical, we would've gotten LSU at home on a Saturday night to win the West last year. All the scheduling whining and BS was irrelevant and it came down to a winner take all. Maybe we would've blown that chance just like LSU?

I'm sorry. Are you talking about 2012 or 2011? I mean in 2012 Bama wins so it was winner take all. In 2011 LSU won in the same exact situation and it was.."But but but we need a redo!!!!!"

I don't think we whined in 2010, or after TAMU won in 2012

Question to LSU fans: If Bama runs the show as you all seem to think, then why did LSU's AD sign off and agree to this bridge schedule? Why?

Because we don't want to end up like Georgia Tech.

Yes, it was Bama fans saying we need a redo that got us into the title game. Had nothing to do with the teams in front of us losing.

he winner of the SEC is in the NC game. It's reachable by every team in both divisions. Instead of bitching about Bama's easy road, BEAT THEIR ASSES and you don't have to worry.

Unless you in fact DO BEAT THEIR ASSES IN TUSCALOOSA. Then you get the privilege of playing an extra game, against a top 5 opponent, for the HONOR of playing Bama again.

If we limit the discussion to the bridge schedule, Bama certainly has received a schedule easier than they otherwise would have had. It is either just the way it worked out or a conspiracy. However, other than last year and this year, I can't understand what all the complaining is about.

This is a great, concise quote that will get ignored by both camps. Many of my fellow Bama fans can't admit we have received a lucky break on the bridge schedules. And then the minions of LSU fans (many of the recent posters on this thread are being reasonable, fwiw) who are trying to make this into something more (and longer) than it is.

so let me get this straight. You try to address it, fail miserably, so now your tactic is going to just be to pretend this never happened and no such issue exists?
