The best explanation I can think of for the Seastrunk situation is that someone close to him came to MS State with their hand out for money and MS State had to stop recruiting him. You can tell from his interviews how badly he wanted to be at MS State, so I feel bad for the kid.
Sounds familiar doesn't it?

I think the thing about "it's someone nobody would suspect" rules out any SEC school but Vandy. Not based on my opinion, but check any other message boards and you'll find most fans think all the SEC other than Vandy is dirty.

Reinforces what I'm hearing about it being Notre Dame.

that would be a top 5 team. not top 15
No, I think they mean all-time, not JohnnyComeLately types.

Cowherd also made reference to "someone USC is familiar with" - so could be PAC10 Oregon, but that rivalry really has only stung the past couple years. Could be Notre Dame given their long standing history. Could also be Texas, who beat them for a BCS trophy.

Actually, Notre Dame is a good possibility.

There have been some really shady recruiting "decisions" that occurred with some big time talent and ND this recruiting cycle.
The situation that I as a Georgia Tech fan saw was a big time recruit (Stephon Tuitt) saying openly that he loved GT and was 100% committed to come here and then his mother refusing to sign a LOI to anywhere but ND.
The mother basically made the decision for him. The same thing happened to FSU with Aaron Lynch. The kid wanted to go to FSU, but the mother forced the kid to go to ND. Strange.

Oregon loses the NC to AU, AU gets off free, and Oregon gets hammered. How pissed would Oregon fans be?

I would love for this to be true

I posted this in the thread on the MSB
Was told tonight its Oregon, and It will be major when It comes out, if what I was told is accurate. Supposedly several street agents in Texas, and other states, and a LB they signed this year will be at the front and center...

Oregon and Baron Cortez Flenory, Jr.
That's what I heard.
Recruitocosm article from December
**eta** I am not the author of the story in the link. I just heard the Oregon & this Flenory guy from someone today and remember reading this article a few months ago. Not sure I believe it all, but it's an interesting read.

I posted this on the MSB board.
"TCU football fans are in for a pleasant surprise tomorrow. All I can say."
This was a tweet from the sportsbybrooks writer. You think he may mean both title game participants may have cheated? How crazy would that be

Might be the death knell of the NCAA if true. God I hope so.
At the very least, changes will have to be made.

He's probably referring to Texas, I've heard rumors about them as well, extending to about a month ago.
