Im not following you. Lache and Auburn engaged in some talks of possible $. The NCAA caught wind and told Auburn to back off.

Why did LSU back off?

Good question

As someone who was interested in the recruiting but peripheral to any real insider knowledge... all I can say is Lache seemed to be more interested in Auburn and Oregon than LSU as time went by

Why this was would be pure speculation

And maybe just maybe, the horse will learn to sing.

No we didn't. I even went out of my way to say i wasn't saying LSU was cheating. I merely bashed your logic.

which I win by default in lieu of any proof of same IE NCAA penalties..

That wasn't the argument, but I can see how you're confused.

now we're arguing about the use of a definition of a principle I provided a link for in the first place.

Probably should have read said link before you provided it.

No actually you said, "When you play football that long, and you play it dirty, at some point the law of averages will catch up to you. Simply put, there's been no smoke, because there's no fire."

You haven't been caught so you have never nor will ever cheat. Bad logic, as I pointed out, many career criminals go for long periods of time before they are caught and punished.

And I'm neither the first or the last one to say that LSU doesn't cheat because it doesn't have to. And it's not just LSU fans that say this.

Link?

Or maybe the Auburn coaches just backed off on their own when money was brought up. He then would only have the option of going to a school that his family didn't solicit money from.

It actually does remind me of the Cam Newton situation. I just don't know much about whether MSU backed off of Cam's recruitment as much as Auburn did with Seastrunk. Now, I wonder if this will get investigated more thoroughly if Seastrunk becomes a Heisman candidate in the future?

I'm saying the facts of the matter don't support the contention.
Seems like the NCAA pres recently made a similar remark about something.

I know you're intentions are probably good, but when you are a fan of a school that's historically been a cheater, and you try and point fingers at one that isn't, you don't look anything but desperate and pathetic.

Like the drug dealer that tries to get off by saying everyone does it.

I havent pointed the finger at anyone but you, because you use shoddy logic and didn't read the very link you provided on Occam's razor.

You didn't ask if I cared. I don't. I just know that they, along with SMU, USC, Arizona State, etc, are one of the most penalized programs in NCAA history.

And LSU isn't.

Might want to find that out before dismissing stuff against your own school nothing and throwing stones.

Because I used the popular definition on a football message board? The long-winded definition just says the same thing....only longer.

Trying too hard there man. Just let it go. I don't even need to know what top 25 school you root for to say LSU is probably cleaner than.

That's the reality.

Please be FSU. They would have to put back all their puffy 1990s Starter jackets that they just pulled down from the attic and dusted off.

And why is that? The facts of the matter are that all those schools in question have been penalized far more than LSU, and deservedly so.

Or are you arguing otherwise? That would be doubly pathetic.

That and you posted a link that directly contradicted what you said was the definition. Then you re-posted it and highlighted the definition you thought was true, but ignored the part that said it was incorrect.

No it doesn't. Read more carefully.

Again, not pointing at LSU, pointing and laughing at YOU.
