Time for every school to get pro players

Can Bediako suit up for Saturday's home game vs the Vols?

Never even sat on an NBA team's bench
I think the real overlook Bama fans are making is that he actually played multiple years of college bball and then opted to stay in the draft- thereby waiving his ability to return to college bball. He was very clearly aware of this stipulation.
On top of all that, he then signs multiple two way contracts with NBA teams. Him seeing a NBA bench or actual NBA minutes has nothing to do with it.

Auburn should go out and sign Filip Jovic

A decision he made when he wasn’t allowed to receive NIL because of an arbitrary rule for players that were in America on a work visa

quote:So? Why is an NBA contract the point of no return? Top players in Euro leagues are often paid more than the NBA minimum. A pro is a pro, and if an otherwise eligible G League or international pro can play NCAA ball, then they should be able to play NCAA ball regardless of what professional league they played in.

But maybe people want players to go back and forth between college and the NBA? Highly doubt the NBA or NCAA wants that but bama fans sure might like it right now.

Sign me up for not caring if a career G-League guy, who is still college-aged, making 35k a year gets to go back to college basketball. Especially when there are dozens of teams with players that have played professionally

Just to be clear Jonni Broome and Oscar Tshiebwe are "G league guys" that you'd love to have back
Filip Jovik which still cant shoot a FT is a "professional."
And it makes you feel better to not call G league guys professionals.
Love to get to the bottom of your tension.

Oscar started 10 or more games in 4 different college seasons and has played NBA minutes (30 starts in 3 of the 4)
Johni Broome has started 30 or more games in 5 different college seasons and played NBA minutes
Charles Bediako has only appeared in two college seasons, is younger than both, and has never even suited up for an NBA game

We can declare any law that has been in force for decades arbitrary but where the hell are you going with this snowflake.
Why 12 credit hours to be eligible and not 9? Our guys dont care about school!
Why stand for the flag. Some arbitrary reason offended me.
Why do the right thing in an evolving world of technicalities? Theyre all going to end up just as arbitrary as past shenanigans.
Why do I have to show up on time? Time is a social construct
Did you just wanna have a good cry today?

That's rookie numbers. Some Bama fan in ten years will be saying 4 years is just getting started at this warped pace of change yall seek.

Agreed. 2 years is famously more than 4

Irrelevant, and this is going to further destroy college sports. Once you open this can of worms, it will be never ending. It will come back to haunt Alabama and every other basketball program
