Yup I agree with all that. In my opinion, Reid's our best player on defense but TM7 is our best playmaker.

Best playmaker?!

What the frick does that even mean?

He makes huge game changing plays more often than other players?!

That usually translates into simply being a better football player.

I think it's pretty self explanatory that he makes more plays and single handily turned games around (Arkansas and Georgia). I just think Reid is the better defensive player. This is how I look at it. If Mathieu had a big RB held up, Eric Reid would probably come and clean his clock. If Reid had a big RB help up, TM7 would probably try to strip the ball. I'm not saying that's a bad thing.

There's a reason I typed "IMO". I didn't say it was undeniable Eric is our best defensive player. I just think he is.

As did Peterson on defense and special teams and he was more effective than TM7 IMO. He was a much better CB and a better returner.
TM7 is a good player and Chavis uses him perfectly placing him in situations to succeed. Fumble recovered is a fluky stat because many times it involves being in right place at right time, forced fumbles is legit but those come at a cost as well. As players go for the force instead of properly wrapping up and stopping player. So when they force fumble it is a great thing, then they don't it could mean extra yards or touchdown for opposing team.

TM7 has a lot to prove this season an for a long as he stays at LSU with his brashness lately. I think the celebrity has gotten in his head a bit and I hope he blocks it out once season starts.

However if I am making a list of Top LSU football players I know TM7 isn't in Top 10-15 I would have to sit down and see if he would land in that 16-25 range. I still think Peterson, Webster. Zenon, and Claiborne are all recent LSU players and better at their position than TM7 and if you are not the best at your position you can't be the best all-time.

exactly, it's pretty fricking stupid. It basically means they are reaching to try and belittle TM7 because they dont wanna give him his due. Who cares how he projects at the next level, TM7 makes plays like noone else on defense in all of college football.

when you do it as much as TM7, it's not "fluky", it's called hustle, instincts, and football IQ.

Feel free to find any of the numerous posts where I said I did not give a frick if we did not deserve it, I still wanted my team to get into the NC game.
