You would think they would seed it that way, but they could conceivably play in the quarters especially if the same team won the first 2 times.

Possible but they will move a seeding to try to best avoid it.

Theoretically any conference opponent on the regular season schedule could. Same goes for Oregon and Ohio State, Alabama and Georgia, Kansas State and Arizona, etc.

If the current format sticks around for a while, something like this will happen eventually.. switch the teams, switch the rankings, but it will happen to someone.. and that melt is going to be something special.. and I just pray it isn't Texas.. I may not survive that one..
