Correct me if I'm wrong: Crowd noise is directly proportional to home defensive quality.

Yeah, I don’t agree.

Crowd noise is directly proportional to the number of fans who believe the next play could change the outcome of the game.

It doesn’t matter if it 7-3 or 54-51..

Better fans + Close Game = More Noise

Kyle Field has been extremely loud only for our back 7 to be complete trash way too many times in my lifetime for me to believe this.

I do think crowd noise is directly proportional to an opposing offenses ability to effectively run their scheme however.

So you're saying it's best for the stadium to be at full volume while the home team is on offense?

Aub v State 3-2 game.

Fans lead to noise which leads to close games

That is why I said better fans.. Good fans would know better than to do that when the offense is on the field.

This is precisely why we can’t have civil discussions with LSU fans. You don’t live in reality.

You have the equation backwards, I think. He's talking about effects of crowd noise, not causes.
