CBS College Sports national recruiting analyst Tom Lemming thinks Springdale Har-Ber offensive tackle Brey Cook, who recently committed, is Arkansas Coach Bobby Petrino’s biggest recruiting coup in his three years in Fayetteville.

“I think he’s one of the top four tackles in the country,” said Lemming, who has covered the national recruiting scene for more than 30 years. “The kid can do it all. He’s a great athlete, the prototypical tackle with the long arms and quick feet with great growth potential. I’ve seen everyone in person and on film, and there aren’t many better than him.”

Cook, 6-7, 314 pounds, 5.2 seconds in the 40-yard dash, is rated the No. 28 prospect in the nation by Lemming. He had more than 20 scholarship offers before picking the Razorbacks over Oklahoma.

Lemming, who travels the nation from December to June evaluating the top prospects in the country, believes Cook’s pledge will aid Arkansas’ recruiting efforts.

Since the arrival of Petrino, Lemming has seen more top recruits listing Arkansas as a possible college destination, but even more so this year.

“They keep getting better, and I think their approach is fantastic going after the great players nationally,” Lemming said. “I have not seen Arkansas’ name mentioned as much as I have this year, really, in thelast 20 years. Everywhere you go, Arkansas is being mentioned. “
