I'm a firm believer that when there is a lot of trash talking that goes on before a game, that if my team gets beat I don't disappear from the board.
Auburn controlled the LOS, and forced us to play their game. You looked prepared, focused and ready to play the game, and deserved to win.
Georgia looked unfocused and not prepared...maybe over hyped for the game? We did not handle the pressure of being rated #1 very well, but it is what it is.
Congratulations on the win and good luck the rest of the way!

Over hyped is a pretty good overall summary of what I saw from UGA. Our recent history in the rivalry makes me happy as hell about it though. I went to bed w a smile last evening.

Not trying to throw shade, and I think UGA is a quality team, but they have benefited from an uncharacteristically weak schedule this year and I think it caught up with them big time. But I think the reality check now vs SECCG is a silver lining for you.

yes, the SEC is down a bit this year, but we have all benefited from a weak schedule, actually. Mizzou seems to be making progress, but Florida is a mess, and does not seem to be getting better. Tennessee, is also a mess. The traditionally tough teams are just....bad.
