I think that should be "season" instead of "seasons" as OU hasn't played Texas this year.

I don't presume to speak for your betters (your three cousins or for TexasExes worldwide), but I can tell you that for me-- my identity is certainly not based on or around the football accolades of the school I went to for undergrad.
Being good at football and kicking the crap out of OU is just a nice bonus.
--
*Disclaimer* I would like to think I'd have found the same level of success regardless of the school I went to and it wasn't just my Longhorn status opening doors as I work with a fair amount of other SEC grads, OU, Auburn, Georgia and Aggy the most, and to a man they are all smart and successful in their own right. In fact, most our kids who are well-rounded and above average in smarts (Frisco/Prosper/West Plano) cannot get into UT anymore, so we are exporting a lot of good talent to OU and helping to make the urban sprawl of far North Dallas more Crimson and Cream by the year. (Because nobody would actually live in OK after graduating).

Just as a side note, I realized you did not add "on-field success" as an aspect of your relevance. Instead you depend upon the trappings of success rather than actual attained success.
You are all hat and no cattle, an urban cowboy so to speak. Your mascot is quite apropos in this regard.
Texas is and has been a fraud for half a century. Enjoy your Blue Blood cosplay.

Of course your identity is not tied to anything based on or around football success. That is why you spent time on a message board to mention Texas' obvious and oft-wasted advantages.

I enjoy college football and root for the Texas Longhorns. I go to a game or two a year and buy a new polo every or every other fall.
Woe is me, my entire life's identity and worldview is rooted in Longhorn Football and what SEC thinks of me/us!
But seriously, the day that I give what anyone associated with OU thinks about me personally any thought whatsoever would be a dark day indeed. That's like, call the hotline and do a wellness check for me type rock bottom.

The final refuge of the defeated is apathy.

The defeated?
Sooners are already penciling in the Win in October I guess! Nothing like the dopamine hit of unexpected success and pleasant surprises, I guess.
But seriously, congrats on being a year ahead of the rebuild/plan. I'm not from Missouri but the guy who looks like a meth-addled door to door roofing salesman is gonna have to Show Me before I believe it.

I hate that I have to spell this out but YOU specifically are the defeated.
My initial post stated that Texas is irrelevant and people only give them attention due to aspects of their university and program that are unrelated to results on the field.
You responded and affirmed my post by adding additional aspects of your university and program that are not directly related to results on the field.
Your program has more resources than any other on the face of the earth and you have accomplished nearly nothing with it in 50 years.
You had no retort other than that you really don't even care that much anyways.
Have a good day dude. You may very well be at us in October but the hubris that Texas fans, including you, display with virtually NO actual results is off-putting

ok cool, hook'em.
Also, "meth-addled door to door roofing salesman" as an aesthetic is actually super on-brand for Oklahoma, so kudos to prioritizing culture and regional fit over not being embarrased by your rival and fielding mediocre teams in-between.

lol at Sark only being 2-2 vs the worst OU teams in the past 25 years. Things about to go back the way they were. Texass had their chance. They blew it.

Someone really should make an OU roller coaster meme. OU beats up on the Sisters of the Poor and a projected 8 win Michigan team (lets not forget they play nobody in the B1G so 8 wins really isn't impressive), and now they think they're good again

I have made no statement about the state of Oklahoma football in 2025. I have made many references to Texas being the most underperforming program in the entire sport and that their fans carry an air that is not reflected by their on field results. Care to debate that? Your fellow Longhorn fan seemed unwilling to do so.
In regards to OU, we have done what I expected to this point, we have the opportunity to do much more. Whether we will take advantage of that opportunity is anyone's guess but at this point OU looks to be a superior team to yours. We will find out if that is true as the season progresses.

Weird projection as you don’t even know who we are.
I think your boss (an associate most likely) is waiting on that LBO model you said you would have done last week. Run along now.
