It's a meaningless bowl game and for the most part no one cares about bowl games anyway. Playing and getting it over with is not a bad thing.

We declined liberty and music city bowls cause our uaa was too cheep so at 7-5 winning last 3 we actually took Vanderbilt’s place as the last 6-6 bowl eligible team in conference
