I know Aggie and Tiger fans troll each other, but I want to give a shout out to Texas A&M for getting the guy they wanted.

Unlike LSU screwing up their search, Texas A&M wanted Jimbo, made him say yes, and gave him enough money to get him out of Tallahassee. Doesn't hurt that the timing was just right for them too. I understand the contract was enormous and it was for a lot of years, and who knows if this is a home run or a gigantic failure. It's a huge risk, but the Aggies are trying that and I respect them for it. They handled this search perfectly. Kudos to Scott Woodward. I hope LSU took some lessons from that.

Either way, I'm happy for the Aggie fans getting a good head coach with a good resume. Even though I still like LSU's program is better, it's nice to see we have some competitive balance here finally. Congrats on a good hire Aggie fans.

Woodward is a big game hunter, no doubt.

Peterson to Washington and now Jimbo to A&M.

That LSU man knows how to recruit head coaches.

Very good job by the Aggies to bring in a national championship winning coach.

OMGGGGG MELTTTTTTTT

In all seriousness, I feel the same

I'll miss this game no longer being an auto-win, but it should make for some great competitive games in the future with more at stake.

I can recall that when Sumlin was hired many of the same posters were saying the same thing.

Jimbo going to A&M proves Joe got slapped around like a bitch in negotiations or A&M is a better job than LSU. Which one is it?

LSU is not his team or school. He disliked LSU until he got the defensive line job. He only talked about how he always wanted to be the head coach here once he realized he actually had a shot at getting the job.

If I'm Jimbo, I take out some major life insurance on myself. If he has a 5-7 year, and a 6-6 year the next two years, someone's taking him out in year three if he starts off losing a few games. No way they pay him eight more years for that!

Both. A&M has awesome facilities and I guarantee Fisher will get as much support as he needs. A&M is a great spot for a coach to land right now.
