I really don't care who is behind our wins. I like Mike Shula very much. However he had 1 winning season in 4 years. It was a great 10-2 year however 1 winning season in 4 isn't good enough almost anywhere.

He recruited very well, especially on the O-line. He left some giant gaps on defense which Saban has filled.

Shula is a good guy and most Bama fans are proud to be associated with him. Mike Shula is not a big time college coach. Saban is an elite coach. Very few people believe that Shula would have an undefeated season right now based on his performace.

This is exactly how I feel. Shula did a fine job recruiting, especially considering the sanctions he had to work with most of his tenure. He and Rader did a great job with the QBs as well. Shula's game coaching was very suspect, and that is what led to his demise. He just wasn't ready to coach somewhere like Alabama.

I love Bammers. LSU won with Saban's recruits.

One Year Later: OMG Saban is awesome. What? hell no, this is not him winning with Shula recruits.

the common trend with bama fans is that they love to live in the past. i wonder how many of these fans were alive when bear bryant was coaching?

How about you? Were you alive for memories of when Bear was coaching? What about when Shula played QB? I was.

I would LOVE to see what Sabans record would be being handcuffed by recruiting violations like Shula was - just sayin'

Mike Shula is a fine human being and a really shitty football coach. When Miles gets canned in 2 years, SABAN will be available for LSU.

Fixed it for ya.

But Saban has won 12 with Shula's players. Funny how no gump mentions this. It's only "Miles won with Saban's players".

Yeah, a lot of good "tradition" did Michigan, ND, Miami, Fla. State, and oh, the Gump team in the last 10 years or so. STFU azzhole. go back to swallowing Saban's cum.

I would say the level of obsession on here says otherwise.

Shula did a fantastic job recruiting. He left some super talented players.

But they still had to be coached, didn't they Tide fans and LSU Sabanistas ?

As usual just another ignorant gump...you've mistaken an answer to your "Saban is God, tradition" bullshite as an obsession. Tell me, how much do you fantasize about azz f**king the dead bear?

I think the Oline is all Shula's recruits. Shula went hard and heavy after "Honk if you sacked Brodie."

It's a disgrace how Bama fans treat Mike Shula. All he did was give his best as a player and coach and they trash him every chance they get.
Can't wait to see how you treat Miles after another season like this one. Shula's a great guy, but a bad coach. It's not trashing him. It's a fact.

Have you noticed the number of SEC schools that post on this board? The Arky, Aubbie, Tenn, Bama, etc etc etc fans must all be obsessed.

Or...

This is one of the better boards in all of the SEC. Living in Houston I hear plenty about Texas, ATM, and LSU during the year. You have to go through plenty of ranter garbage however there are some good fans on here.
