Glad to see the LSU alum did well when so many of the other rookie QBs struggled.

I guess he didn't stink it up too bad. My guess is Joe Alt graded out way better but they don't give this award out to O-linemen.

I feel like that should've gone to Xavier Worthy...unless Thursday games don't count.
Regardless, congrats to Jayden.

And they asked for yours where exactly?
Joe Alt Grade 76.6 PFF Grade
Jayden Daniels 74.6 PFF Grade
Wasn't "way better" but still better.

LSU needs all the moral victories it can get this year.

I just hope that he doesn't get himself hurt. He ran A LOT on Sunday. Good thing is he runs like a gazelle, and is pretty good at avoiding contact.

Yep, no road game at Mizzou this year to pick up a much needed win.

Jayfen Daniels grade was for Rushing only.
Joe Alt
Joe Alt, Los Angeles Chargers
The Notre Dame rookie was superb in pass protection, notching a 76.6 PFF grade. He was especially sound against stars Maxx Crosby and Christian Wilkins, not permitting any pressure on 20 combined pass-blocking matchups with the pair.
However, Alt’s PFF overall grade (60.8) was weakened by his run blocking. The rookie struggled in that department to a 47.8 mark.
Jayden Daniels
Against the Buccaneers, the second overall pick threw for 184 yards and went 17-for-24 to earn a completion rate of 70.8%. What stood out most was Daniels' quickness and ability to get out of the pocket, running for 88 yards and rushing for two touchdowns. His legs earned him a 74.6 PFF rushing grade and praise from Head Coach Dan Quinn.

And that's why I said what I said.

I like to see all sec players do well.
He played great, the running game did good, and they still lost....nfl for you

He's a good player. I was hoping the Raiders would be able to draft him but it didn't work out.

Is that so....you must have missed this part. I like the colorful description "abysmal" and using "somehow"
"Daniels was solid but unspectacular in Week 1: Despite a solid 93.1 passer rating, Daniels put up just a 50.7 PFF overall grade — the highest of the first-round rookie quarterbacks, somehow — and an abysmal 36.3 PFF passing grade."
Daniels PPF
So....
Alt's overall PFF 60.8
Daniel's overall PFF 50.7

didn't watch his game, but the highlights I saw had him taking way more knees/dives and getting out of bounds when he scrambled than he did in college, so that's good to see

I like how you conveniently missed Daniel's pass PFF (36.3) and his overall PFF (50.7). Why would you possibly put up quote on Alt's good and bad but only a quote on Daniel's good? Can't imagine why

It's almost like Joe Alt had a higher grade than Daniels and you are having a mental breakdown accepting you were wrong.
Stay adorable kengel

Still salty over LSU ending mizzou's undefeated season last year.
