On one side they have publicly stated that they have found no evidence of wrong doing by AU or Cam, but apparently the NCAA doesn't believe a word the NCAA is saying.

Reinstatement is not Enforcement. Reinstatement was based on information solely gathered by Auburn and evaluated on that alone. Enforcement does their own investigation.

I think she probably took offense to Chiz calling her out, but I think she made his point also

I think she was going over general policy to educate the coaches. Chiz inexplicably used it as an opportunity to show his ignorance and make an arse of himself. The other coaches in attendance seem to be equally surprised as many fans do.

It's the NCAA stating they have no evidence, but saying you will know this investigation is over when we damn well tell you it is.

It's saying, sit down, shut up and learn something.

Evidence smevidence, we don't need no stinking evidence.

Bad analogy. Drinking salt water can rapidly result in seizures, unconsciousness, and even brain damage. The overwhelmed kidneys will simply shut down, causing death.

Anyone surprised by this should be hit in the head with a tack hammer. Anyone who finds this exciting should be right behind the dumbasses.

It's not what she said that excites us. Everyone already knew that Auburn is under investigation. What we find exciting is the fact that your stooge of a coach got bitch slapped by JRL in front of every football and basketball coach in the SEC. We also find amusing the fact that the basketball coaches especially have such little respect for Chizik that they were happy to sing like canaries when asked about it.

To Auburn Fans...

Who is Paul Parker???

AU compliance office

Where have I heard that name recently...??

Let's see.. Head of GT's compliance

That's right.. Now was he the guy that the NCAA just mentioned?

quote:

The NCAA had informed Georgia Tech’s compliance officer that the clothing issue could only be discussed with the school president and athletics director. Paul Parker, Georgia Tech’s director of compliance, and assistant director of compliance Katreshia Louis-Verrett have both left the school in the last four months, Klein has learned.

..... hmmmmm. makes one think..

Was that a hire to help get around the on going investigation? Because if his sales pitch in the interview was "look, you know GT was being investigated and I helped them out... etc" yeah... uh bad hire!

And you know, why was there an opening at AU to begin with! You should have given whomever it was a huge raise due to the clearing of Cam and AU.. right? Wait.. on going. My bad.

one last thing before I crash tonight.. This is the coach of GT speaking about EXACTLY what AU is facing and what MOST AU fans do not want to come to terms with..

quote:

Johnson, who said he has never been involved in an NCAA investigation in 32 years of coaching, indicated that he believed Thomas and Burnett were eligible to play in the last three games of the 2009 season when the NCAA told Radakovich they had been cleared. "I knew that they had been interviewed and I had no idea what was said in the interviews or what was going on," Johnson said. "We found out actually that Wednesday or Thursday (before the Georgia game) that they were eligible to play, so as far as we were concerned, we went with the attitude that until someone told us differently, they were playing. And then Dan came in and told us they'd been cleared."

Sounds REALLY similar to AU and how that turned out.

Yeah except they knew their players had received benefits where at Auburn that hasn't been proven yet.

824 post and it appears that no one read the article. Just posting on post. Did any one read any other versions of what happened? Apparently there are several versions out there.

Please, post those other versions.

When has Roe Lach or the investigation office said that they had no evidence?

When they cleared Cam to play the first time. Please god tell me you aren't that dumb.

Not 100% sure but I think the eligibility committee cleared him. Not Lach or the investigative committee.

If you would have read the post above yours, you would know that being cleared to play doesn't mean that the investigation is over. NCAA proved this when they cleared Pryor to play in the Sugar Bowl.

Given what we know now, it's pretty clear tha NCAA didnt have time to gather enough evidence to rule him ineligible. The mystery is what evidence have they found since that time. AU fans say none but it's hard to imagine them continuing this investigation with no evidence after 9 months. My guess is that they have at least enough evidence to press on or the investigation has uncovered other violations that are worth looking into.

Anyway, chizik is a damn fool. You don't tug on Superman's cape......

If you think Chizik won that "testy" exchange, you are sadly mistaken. The "bitch" put him in his place and rewarded Chizik's inappropriate timing with a nice two sentence quote that every recruit can now read as a warning to scratch AU off the list.

Chizik is a football coach, not an attorney or PR expert. He needs to keep his mouth shut and let the experts deal with things like this.

Just seems to me like they haven't found anything and she was pissed that Chizik kept asking her specific questions.

No shite she was pissed. This was a large meeting with every football coach, basketball coach, and AD in the room and was meant to be a forum and presentation for training and general compliance issues going forward, not to address specific cases. Like I said in another post, this would be like a professor asking at the end of a lecture if there are any questions and a student raising his hand and saying "Yes I don't think I deserved a C, will you change my grade?" Time and place. Chizik wanted to show his arse in front of everyone and it backfired big time.

Yea, but when he does keep his mouth shut and says "No Comment" everyone slams him for not cooperating with the NCAA.

I agree that he pushed it too far in that situation, but had he not said anything at all then we would be discussing how he keeps avoiding the topic and that is just too suspicious, he must be hiding something.
