Anyone remember Bill Walsh? He was just 4 years removed from winning the Super Bowl when he took over at Stanford.

Yep, people know that UT can and has been an elite program. They do not want anyone that could potentially turn the program around to be hired. They'd rather Tennessee hire another Butch Jones and laugh at them in 5 years when he's fired.

Agreed. People want the easy road to winning instead of the best fricking conference in college football.
Also, very few RANTards actually have their own opinion on Gruden. One fricker says "he never recruited" and 25 parrots started posting "yeah, man, shite hire. He never recruited." Someone saw "his NFL record is barely over .500" on twitter and now we have a slew of regurgitation all over tRANT.
