These listed here ain't happening:
Texas - They want to bump dicks with the PAC12

OU & OSU - Package deal and not enough TV's not academically attractive

FSU - Florida blocks

Clemson - USCe blocks

SEC would take two of the following schools right now:

UNC or NC State

UVA or Va Tech

These would be good matches in states with growing populations. The college presidents would approve these schools because it is new footprint area and the schools have good academic reputations.

most of those are financial garbage and wouldn't make sense for anyone to add With pillaging the Big 12 off the table I don't see real options for the PAC to expand beyond 12 teams. And there's no real reason every conference has to have the same number of teams I can see. For that matter there's no reason I can see that an independent like Notre Dame absolutely has to belong to a conference either. Whatever the playoff format there will undoubtedly be at large qualifiers as well as conference champs qualifying.

I doubt the NCAA will allow just 64 schools to form a new division. That scenario would likely be four conferences with 16 teams each with the champion of each conference participating in a 4-team playoff.

More likely, I think the NCAA will propose a major division with 70-80 teams spread across 5 conferences. The champs of each conference would qualify for positions in an 8-team playoff, including 3 at-large positions. That would be, I think, an immensely popular tournament.

5 conferences with 14 teams would total 70 and 5 with 16 would be 80. Notre Dame would have to play from a conference or be left out.

If the major conferences form a new division it doesn't look like it will be with the NCAA's graces period. the midmajor schools have too much voting power to allow that with the present structure.

If the major conferences form a separate division it will be something which replaces the presence NCAA with some other structure (constructed by the major conferences)

From a pure football/athletics standpoint, I'd like to see FSU and Clemson added. However, I know that Clemson won't be added due to small market and I'm not really sure about FSU.

Any use adding Texas or Oklahoma?

For some reason I want another Texas School. Don't know if TAMU fans will like that.

UNC and FSU (spare me the "we already have this market" BS. Adding FSU gives us an essential monopoly on the state of Florida and FSU is a national brand)

I was always a fan of adding Louisville and Clemson before the additions of TAMU and Mizzou.

Lets add Ohio St to see if they can stand up to the test of a full SEC season. Would Urban quit is he knew he was coming back to the SEC? LOL

I think we all have teams we would like to see added to the SEC. If recent history is any indication of what the near future holds then it will be teams in new TV markets. SEC Commissioner-Mike Slive (The best Commish of all time) would probably add NC State and Virginia Tech. The SEC plays VA Tech all of the time.

The OP is a Kansas State fan? I have actually never considered Kansas or Kansas State in the SEC but that would be considered a new TV Market. Kansas is kind of Southern? It wouldn't be out of consideration when the conference goes to 16 teams?

I would like to see Florida st and Clemson in east. In west texas and TCU. That way you just play your division and then play a SEC championship. None of this , unfair crossover junk.

What's the rants feelings on Miami? Great football history (minus the thugs), good in baseball and basketball, good academics, big national following. Big drawback is they are private and thug reputation, but that might fit in seeing we already have Tennessee as a member

Oh and the orange bowl blows

That part of FL isn't SEC territory at all.
