This is what I love about some fan bases. They get spoiled and think things could never change. Just because OU won a NC 15 years ago, you thought that OU would still be the who's who and still command national attention. Did you know that Princeton University has the most NCs of any other program in the NCAA? What happened to them? What happened to Army and Navy? Georgia Tech? Minnesota? Yale? As you probably know, it's called a paradigm shift. What worked before does not work now, and likely will never work again. The dynamics of college football have forever changed, and not in a good way for the Okies. You needed your overload to keep a thumb on Daddy A&M for you to remain relevant. They did it for many, many decades until A&M just got too big. It had to happen some day. The fricking longhorns couldn't be the 800 lb gorilla forever. OU, like Princeton, Yale, Minnesota, Navy, etc, is the guy who was the all-district quarter back in your high school who owned the place, had all the girls, drove the nice car, had all the great parties. Dude thought things would NEVER change. He would always rule, right? 15 years later, he's a bald, fat douche still wearing his letterman jacket, working at Walmart. OU, just like baldy, is a has-been program that is squirming and fighting to get bevo's nutless dong out of its mouth so it can try to salvage mid-major level exposure. OU is a Texas-dependent program that has been completely marginalized with no upside, stuck in a shitty conference with no way to leave and nothing to offer. The program suffering the most from Bowtie Loftin's 100 year screw-job is OU. We destroyed sooner football, and it makes me smile. You deserve it for attaching your mouths to bevy's cock. Get another past-time, cuz A&M will win 10-20 NCs before OU ever wins another.

Chisel this speech onto the tomb of the unknown soldier.

Not to mention, someone had to knock out Chris Weinke and the Noles because no one else could.

October 7, 2000: #7 Miami 27, #1 Florida State 24

That same Miami team won 9 straight to close out the season by an average of 29 points.

The same Miami team that beat Florida in the Sugar Bowl.

There is no justifiable metric that should have put Florida State in the National Title game over Miami that year.

Before you make stupid claims, do your homework.

And as far as the 2000 A&M/Oklahoma game, it wasn't the Torrance Marshall interception (in which an Oklahoma defender illegally blocked Mark Farris in front of the ref at the 20 yard line), nor the illegal block/personal foul that wasn't called which knocked Jason Glenn out of the game that clinched it. It was R.C. Slocum's absolute refusal to put Ja'Mar Toombs into the game during any of the plays of A&M's final goal-line series, which started 1st and goal from the Oklahoma 8.

Alabama
Tennessee
Texas A&M
Georgia
Auburn
Florida

Are all teams that in my opinion wouldn't surprise me representing the SEC in the playoffs in the near future. Even though a few of these teams could possibly not even make it close to winning their respect division in awhile, these are still all programs that have that "X Factor" imo.

I feel like Georgia is due for a natty here soon.

Yep. The analysts said that A&M had the best defensive scheme to shut down Josh Hypal (or whatever his name is). They all agreed that we effectively shut him down.

So, yeah. The big 12 was interested in getting ou the NC. There were obvious blown calls. It was the start of a decade of t.u. and Okie cocksmoking each other, and trying to keep the talent away from A&M and Nebraska (the two best prograns when the big 12 was formed). Those two "rivals" jacked each other off at A&M/NU's expense for a solid decade.

NU got fed up with the t.u. power plays to keep them magenalized and took an offer from the B1G. But the real threat to the RRR complex is Daddy A&M, and those fricking cocksuckers from both schools know it.

Nobody bitched, moaned, or had their bitch lap-dog Baylor threaten any lawsuits when NU left. Both were quite content letting both NU and CU leave. But, when Daddy A&M even threatened to go to the SEC alone, all hell broke lose.

That says it all right there, folks.

The 100-year decision changed the landscape forever and sips/dirt buglars know it.

How does that Aggy arse taste?

A&M fans should quit this argument. The fact remains, the Aggies couldnt even dominate a weak Big 12 that they love to clown on a daily basis. Now, they cant even get past LSU, maybe in 10 years will they win the SEC.

Historically, the Aggies have been owned by the Sooners and Horns and that will probably never change. A&M could build a 250,000 capacity stadium and they still wont bring home the hardware. They are a never has been program.

Speaking of Texas players, the legendary Horn coach Darrel K. Royal who brought them 3 rings was an Okie and Sooner football Alumni.

Clown that 2000-2001 championship all you want, I still witnessed a championship.

How far are we allowed to go back? 77-0? 66-28 in College Station?

Here's a stone cold hard fact.

Every National Champion since 2002 has had at least one top five recruiting class, as rated by Rivals (2002-2010) or 247 Sports (2011-present)

Great analysis - worthy be its own thread

History will never change?

Thank you, Professor Dirt Buglar for that ground-breaking revelation. I have now come to realize how the past tends to remain the past and is unchanging. I assume then that Dr. Emmit Brown and Marty McFly were NOT successful in their experiment at the Twin Pines Mall, despite the longhorn and sooner obsession with climbing into DeLorians on a daily basis, given that the present is simply too painful to endure.

Hey, where did landthief go? Guess the truth was too much for him.

Boren knows the truth too. That's why he is on his knees begging (sucking off) any P5 conference that will listen, trying to get OU an offer. Too bad that program is as worthless as the state in which it sits.
