We have an offensive identity crisis. We need to go back to power football and controlling the clock. Jalen has the arm strength to be a good passer but he needs to be able to get the ball down the field and I think play action after an established run game would help him. I HATE this new offense.

You say this because you don't know what you are looking at. This "new offense" was the product of having a true freshman at QB and having to tailor the offense around his 18 year old, raw skill set. It will be different next year.

Well, the other three had the opportunity to start and couldn't. Proves my point.

Hurts did not win the starting QB position at Bama because he was so good. Bama had no other choice. The rest of the QBs on the roster were just as bad at passing but couldn't run. At least Hurts can run somewhat.

Good enough to run the streak to 6 in a reaux.

Now you are stuck with 0 for 3 years.

Streak will be 9 before you know it.

0 will never beat Saban.

2016 Alabama offense=2011 LSU offense

Offense would grind down weaker opponents. Tougher opponents would stall the offense, but then special teams or defense steps up and makes a huge play for a TD or giving the offense a short field. Eventually the OLine breaks the will of the defense

Nah, we won more games than you did.

We also didn't get shut out in the NCG.

21-0 in case you forgot.

He is not even on the same level as those QBs. Putting up great passing stats in Bama's offense doesn't mean shite just ask your boy Blake sims .

Did Hurts regress? Didn't watch much of him until late in the season and the dude can just flat out not throw.

Would probably be a solid RB though

Will never happen.

Bama is declining. Coaches are jumping ship left and right. Saban just looks lost out there against any decent offense. Hell the last place team in the west damn near kicked Bamas arse for the 3rd year in a row with a somewhat decent offense.

Cosch O just needs to stay out of Canada's way.

I would say Jalen is in really good company for freshmen QBs ...

Shouldn't we be comparing him to other freshmen RBs?

A 65 year old man or a 12 yo could have had the same success throwing the football. Bubble screens and fades. Now he is pretty athletic and will probably win his share of games but my guess is he will not be throwing the football at the next level if he gets there.

Bama fan justification. Awesome. Many of those numbers were due to other teams not knowing Hurts sucks as a downfield passer. Next year, expect 9 man boxes like the season ended. Another year of not being able to advance the ball via forward pass, this fanbase will be calling for Tua
