I prefer MLB although I do enjoy college as well. It might be different if my team, Bama, wasn’t usually an afterthought. I follow them closely but honestly don’t know many others that do. In my area of Alabama if you hear about baseball it is usually the Braves. Like most sports the people that love college baseball support teams that are historically successful.

College baseball has more of an emotional connection in the South. Plus, you sit closer to the action, it's more affordable and you see kids from your home town. The game seems more pure. There aren't any $700 million guys Soto lollygagging it to first base.
College baseball has LSU gold on Sundays. MLB has these stupid "city connect" uniforms that look like dog shite.
That said, the level of play is vastly different. That's why a great college player like Dylan Crews is hitting under .200 in MLB. He'll get better and likely be a star, but he's facing a very different animal in MLB pitching. If you want to watch the highest level, watch MLB. If you want more of an emotional game, college is your game.

College - no contest. So much more passion, and almost all meaningful games.
