Why can't they just make it so that intentional fouling in the last 2:00 result in a forfeit of the game?
It's obvious when it happens, and eliminating this would make the game so much more enjoyable to watch.

That would be dumb. It's 100% legal.

It's legal, but it's the stupidest metagame in all of sports.
If fouls can work in your favor then the rules are broken.

Because you’re melting over an almost epic choke

You won. Relax. You don’t need to change the rules to favor MSUjr in this case.

I'm happy MSU won.
You're sad SoCar lost.

Sorry to cause you offense.

It’s an intentional foul though, yet isn’t called as one. That’s my only gripe.

Agree....Shots and the ball. Take care of that shite in a hurry. Damn games last 20 minutes the last minute.

Every time I see this typed out, it is most definitely the one who types it that is melting.

There is no such rule as intentional foul. That's a just a term used to describe certain flagrant fouls. It's typically called according to the rules.

I agree it's dumb and has gotten out of hand. But, forfeit may be a little extreme. The last few minutes is kinda the only part most people watch. So, I think a foul in the last 2 mins should lead to an automatic 2 free throws instead of a 1 and 1 situation.

This is like saying if a CB grabs a WR who he knows is about to beat him deep in order to stop the WR from scoring a TD, the offensive team should be given a TD and the CB should be disqualified. But instead we just call that defensive pass interference.

In most sports penalties can sometimes be used in your favor. Free throws should theoretically be one of the easiest possible shots in basketball. If late game fouling weren't allowed whichever team that lead going into the final minute of the game would almost always win. It would take away from a lot of game suspense.

It does lead to an automatic 2 FTs if the team is in the double bonus (which they usually are in the final 2 minutes thanks to an abundance of foul calls in modern basketball).
