Torvik is basically using the NET rankings to base his projections. Also, KenPom is straight up data, numbers are numbers.

He uses a combination of NET, his Wins Above Bubble metric and his Torvik Rank data.

There is actually a feature on there where you can weight things however you want and it spits out a list which is pretty cool
