NIL and the NCAA’s inability to enforce the rules evenly over 40+ years has collegiate athletics reeling. It’s sad that a sport I once loved has become nothing but a market for athletes. This isn’t about aTm, more about aTm, chargers in driveways, payments to parents and caregivers…it’s all the same and it’s fricked the sport up. Teams are supposed to be on equal ground minus the college experience, history, coaching, and education variables that are different from school to school. It’s been a payment game and the NCAA allowing it in some places and hammering it in others lead to their own demise.

Emblematic of everything institutional in the country. Big corporations, universities, government bureaucracies, healthcare, big tech, corporate media. They are all corrupt as frick.

What is the one thing that makes up all of them...oh, right, Americans. It is like we are taught to win by any means necessary.

So, you rather allow under the table deals than do things through NIL?

False. The word you're looking for is "refusal".

No, it’s all cheating. The NCAA neutered itself after SMU. They put away the big stick permanently and emboldened everyone to cheat because they took the death penalty off the table and simply quit doing their job. Kids driving around cars worth more than their house…there should be a guilty until proven innocent and shot would be pulled into the light.

You can pay above the table or below it. Been going on for years, decades. Just new names now, but everything is cyclic in nature

I guess? Not as badly as:

The real problem is when the latter melds in with the former. That's when it's corrupt. And that's called fascism. It's what we have because of the democrats.

Ruined by cheating scum like Nick Saban and Alabama.

They truly deserve the NCAA death penalty.

Yep, if there were true parity in the sport, one team wouldn't be playing for the natty 10 times in 13 years. The NFL has a thousand times more parity than college!
