Cowherd picked against BAMA enough that I think he's finally learned his lesson. When it comes to BAMA, has anyone been more wrong over the years?

I'm sure that boost his ratings on up
There. That's why they play. Most
Of these matches Bama has fallen into
An early deficit & managed to make a comeback. How long can they continue to do that? Bryce better have extra
Padding on Monday. He's gonna need it
Is all i can say. Love to see a repeat of a month ago but don't hold
Your breath.

You claimed the spread was not reflective of the people, when it is based on what people are betting on as it adjusted based on how people are betting.

Saying it's the same is like you telling me cars move because hey burn water. I tell you they move because they burn gas, and you are trying to claim it's the same thing because the car moves. It's not.

Here is both of our posts word for word:
They are trying to get people to jump on bets.

Here is a part of what you said:
to cause betting on both sides.

Now explain how those two are different.

If you are talking about me saying this:
Las Vegas does not = people.

Las Vegas is a conglomeration. A business. If you think them picking Georgia by 3 is reflective of what most people think then YOU have no idea how Las Vegas thinks. they place Georgia at +3 to get people to bet.

Maybe if you reread you would understand what I was saying better? Maybe I did not say it plainly enough? I have no idea where the disconnect is, but if you read the two quotes...we certainly did say the same thing. I said Las Vegas places the line to get people to bet and then you almost quoted me word for word.

ETA
Maybe I see where the disconnect is? I was talking to an Alabama fan who said:
You can't be serious??? Right now the wind (or sports windbags) are all pulling for Georgia.

I was pointing out that Las Vegas does not equal ALL the people pulling for Georgia. If this isn't what get it all derailed, I'm not sure where it went wrong.

I can't believe that you are only telling half of the story. Most of those writers do an either or scenario - "Bama wins IF", "Georgia wins IF." This is a pathetic attempt to be right by only telling half of the story But when pressed - the majority vote for Georgia straight up

While Cowherd can be a total arse, and has picked against Bama time and again. I always give him kudos for picking us to win the Natty in the year of the Tornado. He said,he wanted to see Bama win badly so as to bring joy to a devastated community.I give him full marks for his show of compassion and support.

This has been the funniest time I can remember - where both teams (at least their fans) want to be the underdog and not be perceived overconfident.

Fans have been doing this forever. It's a premptive emotional coping mechanism mixed with some sort of cosmic faith that being the underdog helps their team.

And the result is thousands of dumb "we have no shot!" type posts that litter sites like this.

You must not have looked at the links....because I quoted the title of the articles. They aren't a either or story. Should I go back and print all of the story so you will look at them?

I have seen some articles like tat, and purposely avoided those.

Read the articles. At least look at them.

I just went back and looked at the first two articles. I did not see a single point in the articles making a case for Georgia. It listed point after point making a case for Alabama, and then the article ends.

At least be semi truthful.

I totally think Alabama fans are doing that.

Not us, though. Seriously. Why in the world would most of us think we are going to win after the SECCG?

Perhaps I just haven't seen it at this level from the sRant before. It's like Bama and Georgia fans want to 'one-up' each other with... 'you can't lose'

PS - I'm doubting this is a fan-game LSU or Texas fans could play effectively.

Cowherd is an obtuse idiot, it blows my mind that that goofball had made a living in sportstalk radio.

I am really glad he picked bammer..

You literally just did what you say Georgia fans aren't doing.

This. Bama may lose but if I have to go with one coach in a championship game, I'm going with Saban. He's lost championship games but his track record is really good.

It's not hard to beat the same team two times in the same season. It's hard to beat one of the best teams in the country two times in the same season.

I saw some stat where top five teams have only played each other in the same season twice five times and so far they've all been split.

You are not looking hard enough. On Monday you see an article "Why Bama will win." Then on Tuesday the author writes an article "Why Georgia will win." It is what it is. I can't help you see it any other way. Those guys are in the business of generating clicks/traffic. But when you see, such as the case with the CBS talking heads, the majority picking a winner STRAIGHT UP (no points given) they choose Georgia. You are just being obstinate
