USC looked out of shape. They were lucky tonight.

He had a sack and a tackle for loss.. Did you watch the game?

I thought he played a pretty good game? They are misusing him as a part time MLB though. Let him learn one thing and learn it well and he will dominate.

He is a great player but he can't do it by himself. He would be a monster at Bama or LSU where he is not the focus every play
USCe probably has a better d-line than Bama.

Needs to get in better shape. Although, I would be exhausted if I saw nothing but double teams too.
First USC offensive drive: Fumble, 1 play
Second drive: Shaw int, 3 plays
Third drive: TD, 3 plays
Y'all the defense was on the field prolly 80% of the first half. First game of the season in that humidity, He did well. Our whole defense did.

He also disrupted several plays in the backfield. He redirected a lot of Stacy's runs.

I noticed that right off the bat when watching his HS games, as dominate as he was he was lazy then and is lazy now. Sad really could be one of the greatest ever

Yes they looked great against that mighty offense Vanderbilt had.

Many linemen take plays off if they're left on the field as much as he is. He's not accustomed to playing a full game at this level. He came in primarily on pass rush situations last year. You're just paying more attention to him because of who he is.

Yep. He looked lost at LB. He is an edge rusher and should be used that way

Maybe I'm just use to how lsu players look but none of USC players looked jacked at all and I figured clowney might be ripped and little more but idk

I've sort of noticed this.

Vandy was trap blocking him on a lot of running plays, and poor conditioning affected his play.

Very good game, until he ran out of gas. But he played as a backup last year, let him get used to playing full games first.

I think it is obvious that he could be more in a better S&C program as could most of the defense that I just watched. Not impressed overall with the look of USC defense

LSU has better steroids?
Actually, in all seriousness, we have a new S&C coach this year. Fitz left for Penn State (imagine he regrets that decision), and his former assistant took over. Supposedly it's the same program, but you gotta wonder.

Probably.
We have some athletes though.
