History will not win you games in the present but a history of excellence will certainly help in the process of doing so. Places that have a history of losing and continue to do so are failing for the same reason. Alabama has a culture of winning football so it should come as no surprise that they are doing it again.

Top 6 ain't bad. How many of those teams have won more NC than Alabama? It's the only thing that mattes imo.
