Clemson has to beat North Carolina, Notre Dame, and Miami and those teams look pretty decent.
There's also always the chance that they get upset.

I'm surprised tOSU isn't ahead of UGA to be honest.
Clemson is absolutely deserving of the #1 spot. But, polls are slow to change after the initial poll because of the bias it creates. That said, if Bama and UGa are both undefeated top 5 teams in 2 weeks, the winner has a good shot to jump Clemson (who will be playing a weak GT that weekend).

I've got a strong hunch that Miami will more than give Clemson a great game this saturday...they will beat them. Defensively, they look strong, and there offense is light years ahead of previous years... And most important, they finally, finally have a competent and exciting QB.

Ugh ATM was ranked #13 going into the Game? I do know that Auburn isn't a top ten team and might be looking for a new coach at the end of the season.

They can have it. Bama has a much better record as number 2, and Clemson does look good and very ahtletic too. They are going to roll over the ACC again.

They started there and haven't done anything to drop. It will work itself out since they play Miami this weekend.

I would pump the brakes on Miami, there looks to be improvement from last season but Clemson edges them out for a relatively easy win on Saturday.
Good football teams can be measured by how long they take to make your team crack. It'll take one half for Clemson to crack Miami. Most teams they play only take one quarter.

pretty much the eye test of what they have coming back and how they were cheated last yr in the Clemson game .. Lots of talent..big chip on their shoulders = No .1 ranking ...
