Alabama has a better shot than Ohio State did.

But, getting in this week does not change some fundamental issues Alabama has to address before the game.

I doubt any Alabama fan would not admit they were just flat out beaten in the AU game. They struggled in the Miss State game and LSU had the plan, just not the horses to win their game.

I am not sure what is going on with the Alabama OC, but he is going to need to stick with an offensive identity to beat Clemson, and it may be hard to do that in such a short time.

I expect it to be a close game, but Clemson has seen the same issues at Alabama everyone else has.

Nah, Dabo ranked Bama #6.
He is looking for the most favorable matchup. And he believes Bama is that. Be careful what you wish for (both Bama and Clemson). I think this is going to be the best game of the 2017-2018 CFP.

Alabama didn't look great against the last three SEC teams they played, which were the only good SEC teams they played. WRs consistently got open, short and long. Teams are trying to force hurts to beat them with his arm.

Your inferiority complex is about the size of Texas. Settledown little fella. That 7 in a row could grow.

I disagree. I think the Clemson vs Alabama game this year has a similar script as the two games between Georgia and Auburn this year. The first game Auburn was the hunter and Georgia was the hunted. That flipped the second time around. Clemson was the hunter last year against Bama but being the defending champion is going to make them the hunted this time around. I think Alabama wins.

Bama seemed to have all but one LB back for AU and were pushed around all game...a game that didn't feel close in the 4th qtr. Clemson DL will manhandle this team, they are soft.

They may have even been 100% but it's one thing to be healthy and another to have missed 10 games. Give them a month of first team reps and they will be as ready as any one else.

Umm, Vegas disagrees. I’m an lsu fan, and when we play Bama they’re essentially the isis football team to me. But there is simply no way Clemson is going to do what they have done to Bama the last two years. The reason? Deshaun Watson is in the nfl. Clemson knows that they don’t have the passing threat they did, look at how much they are relying on the run.

Bama has looked okay but not their usual selves against the tougher teams they've played this year. Against the only equivalently talented team they played this year they looked downright bad. With the SEC being basically a three team league this year, I don't think it bodes well for bama. Vegas has them favored simply to take money from stupid people.

I agree that a semi-final is the defacto championship this year, but that's because UGA and Oklahoma are both significantly better than bama and just a bit better than Clemson. It pains me to say it but I think UGA should win the championship this year if Fromm can simply limit turnovers. Their defense is just better.

Clemson should win the game; they have the better team. But Bama's defense will hopefully keep the game competitive. Bama just doesn't have a good enough offense this season. I don't know if it's the play calling or their OL just isn't as good as recruiting ratings but something is missing when a team like Bama can't run the ball when they need to against supposedly less talented teams.

You’re right this is a disservice to the rest of college football. It’s a beauty contest.

Obvious fear is obvious. Sorry, not sorry your wish for OSU to get in didn't come true.

Just like LSU couldn't be miraculously better so soon after getting boatraced by MSU and beaten by Troy, right?

Nope. Deshaun Watson isn’t on the roster. It will be a game.
