number of national championships is a phony stat b/c without a playoff and a pretty small sample size of regular season games compared to other sports, it is hard to really determine who the best two teams are.
Since you think championships are overrated, I guess you judge programs by wins. Clemson is the 32nd winngest program, behind 8 SEC schools, Alabama, Tennessee, LSU, Florida, Georgia, Auburn, A&M, and Arkansas.

well how many of them were at Bama, seems like in the early decades, clemson played the better programs on the road almost all the time, kind of like smaller schools have to go to the bigger schools to play today.
i don't think 2-12 means much, cuz we could have just played them in years we were horrible and they were awesome, you have to play them every year or at least every other year for series record to mean anything. also consider that there wasn't much talent across the board in college football in the early decades like there is today, even some smaller schools can crnak out solid teams. i think you can only really talk about stats from 1970's and records or so until now.

lol, well i don't thin 32nd winningest program of all time is something to call a radio show and cry about. LOL
i bet Clemson is top 15 since 1977 or so.
regardless, we are no. 1 in fun. bama wins championshps but saban is the cross to fun. bama fans have kind of a grim fan mentality. Clemson fans just want to have fun, it is all we really want.

Well you guys have fun and let the SEC schools win stuff that matter, like championships.
I'm sure kids at University of North South Central West Texas have fun too. Nobody gives a shite about fun.

lol, well Sabana's regime at Bama kind of seems like how it would be done in the SOviet Union, just completely joyless. it is like this machine doing what it is designed to do, no roller coaster ride with valleys and peaks. it is about the ride, the biter defeats, the wild upsets, defeating the evil rival after years of humiliating defeats and taking back what is yours, it is all good b/c this is life. Saban wants to take all the fun out of everything but he is EVIL and not human, if you could peel back his skin it would reveal metal underneath. LOL
