If Chubb is so much better than LF why does Vegas favor LF over Chubb to win the Heisman?

I see the hook, but I will answer anyways.
Chubb has a QB with a IQ higher than potato. Saying that, LF will be his teams entire workhorse and will get most of the yards for LSU.

1. You don't understand how betting works.
2. LF is a monster.
3. Chubb also has two known other commodities in the backfield with Marshall and Michel. Ducre, Guice, and Brosette could all be very good, but they are less proven at this point.

Because we have other great backs that he'll have to share the load. LF is your entire offense.

Vegas is pretty dumb to put LF anywhere near the top of the Heisman odds. He simply won't get 30+ carries a game to put up the stats needed to be in the running.

I don't know about his understanding betting, but drawing connections between pre-spring practice odds on who is going to win a heisman (which inevitably has to account for individual production combined with team play, schedule, which games a team wins and when, etc.) and who is actually a better running back is stupid and fallacious.

B/c LF will likely have 20%+ more carries than Chubb and will return kicks, thus leading to more total yards. Chubb will have a better YPC.
Additionally, Vegas knows that UGA has a better all around O and will not depend on Chubb the way LSU will depend on LF.
This really shouldn't be that hard to figure out. It's ok for people to say someone else is better than your guy. That doesn't mean they are saying LF stinks. He's incredible. There just happens to be an RB better than him in this conference.
