Go start the 187th daily thread about Lane Kiffin them. Surely there's more to talk about, there.

This cajun says Jasmine, love the flavor. Although I like both. Never tried either in a gumbo before though. I usually just use plain long grain rice of course.

Either one is good. Cannot discount the quality of the rice in a good gumbo. I used Basmati rice in the last one that I made, and I like it a little bit more. Less sticky.

Can't deny Basmati is fluffy and not sticky. Always a good choice!

For Jasmine or regular long grain, to get less sticky rice, rinse the starch off before cooking and also use a tad less water.

Oh be sure, howerer.....

there's nothing wrong in having pride in things you enjoy.

I'm sure having French ancestry has made generations of Louisiana men just darlings in the kitchen !

So no hard feelings everyone.....I fear I may have tread upon a very tender, special, delicate little topic.

I hope you all can cool off with something just delicious....

Have you given this same energy to topics about the tornadoes which ravaged through the Southeastern Conference footprint?
